A 1950s fortune telling napkin dispenser. Popularized in post World War II diners, this vending machine served a dual purpose. It held napkins on either size (still does) and dispensed fortune cards, costing a penny each (no longer does).
A similar version played a crucial role in the 1960 Twilight Zone episode titled “Nick of Time”.

Condition: It no longer vends fortunes. The key is missing to grab change (therefore it probably contains some extra coins inside 😜). The napkin dispensers still function. The chrome has oxidized and discolored in places. It could use a good cleaning.
